This is the bar formula, as you already know. And my name is David. If you haven't learned that by now, but what I'm here to tell you today is that I am to give you a reality check. Why a reality check? Well, due to the recent circumstances with Corona, online, learning a school, shutting down the bar, changing, canceling, changing the rules. You know, I'd be concerned too, but the reality is get over it and move on. You need to stop ignoring what you have spent the last several years doing and buckle down. And this is your time to study.

This is the time now to not come up with any excuses. I've heard excuses after excuses, after excuses, you sound like a client, to be honest with you, when you guys complain, if you think that studying for the bar is tough, where do you practice law?

Things You Should Know about the Online Exam Format

You don’t have time to learn formatting on the fly during the exam!

  1. No going back and editing after your Essay and PT answer is submitted.
  2. Must take essays in order given
  3. New computer with webcam, ExamSoft and single monitor
  4. Not open book.
  5. Internet Required - Only for logging in and uploading of answers
  6. Scratch Paper
    1. Essays - Digital Only - 70,000 characters *Real paper if have accommodations
    2. Performance Test - 8 pages of Real Paper
  7. Timers allowed
  8. Bathroom use only at permitted breaks
  9. No water. Not even for medication
  10. Law schools are to provide “environment” and internet if student does not have at home

BREAKING NEWS – California Bar Exam on October 5-6, 2020

The court’s letter to State Bar of California trustees includes the following:

  • The California Bar Exam will be administered online on October 5-6
  • The court directed the State Bar to extend registration for the October exam through July 24
  • The court permanently lowered the passing score from 1440 to 1390
  • The court directed the State Bar to expedite creation of a provisional licensure program under supervision to 2020 law school graduates—effective until they can take and pass a California bar exam, and expiring no later than June 1, 2022

Have you ever considered studying the subjects in a different order?

Most of us are given the torts as a first subject and we spent probably a week or two reviewing Torts I should say studying but it's a review and is all the time spent sitting Torts worth it?

Well, it is a big subject to put your head around. It is also the time that you're learning to kind of adjust your writing style and so forth, but if each essay carries the same value then shouldn't you study what essay appears the most?

Well, that's a good question that we're going to pose. So let's get ready for a big surprise for your food for thought.

Since 2011 the California bar has tested Professional Responsibility 18 times and Torts only seven. That's almost every bar!
